The Un-United States of America

In 1776, thirteen States separated themselves from a controlling government that dictated their laws without the vote of its people. On this day, every State was declared to be a sovereign State no longer bullied by a single supreme authority. Today, our government is dictating how each State should be governed without the vote of its people. In the State I live in, Texas, our government is usurping our leaders—forcing laws against the will of who we’ve voted into office. If you understand the history of The 4th, it’s easy to see that we are moving backwards.

Originally this day was meant to bring glory to God Almighty, for the people and its leaders knew who delivered them. However, today, July 4, 2015, we celebrate how we’ve forfeited our independence by allowing our government to overrule what we see fit, but Happy 4th anyway…

“The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.” ~ John Adams
